My new wheels. Didn't want one just yet. Had no choice. One truck wrecked. One truck as replacement.

F.I.S.H. 101

     The family guys had their first family fishing tournament. Planned by me. They set out on an early Friday morning with equipment, food and drinks, and camera in hand.








    Although  I was not along for the day, I did request, demand, and expect pictures. I got 4 pictures from them.  Less than what I wanted, expected, or asked for. But, I gladly accepted what I was given.  
Only 3 participants on this day.    But still competition.

Happy Birthday Julie . . . .

Celebrated with cake, gifts, and food for the 25 year old who is studying for her Masters at Southeastern, working on campus in the Dean's office, and finding time for her husband, home, and family.  We love you.

Hornets

Brandon and some friends had tickets to the Hornets home game in New Orleans this week.
He sent me pictures.

They were up top in a private suite thing with catered food, luxury seating, and what ever else comes with the vip treatment.

January Birthdays

Did  a little celebrating in January for birthdays and anniversaries. We did have 2 cakes. That was my fault. We ordered one cake for the planned big day. At the last minute, we could not go, so they all celebrated without us. Then we planned another day and ordered another cake.

5 years old

Joe is growing up fast, so his mom says.  But they all grow up fast.
Here is Joe showing me he is 5.

He's all boy, ruff and tuff, running and jumping, and cute as can be.

2011

The new year started off good. Just hanging around the house doing really nothing.

Found a few sparklers left over from last year and we played with them till we burned them all out.

Just us and the dogs!

A little cuddling with the fur balls. Molly-dog spent her holidays with us.

A little cooking and eating. Some good ol' comfort food -- shrimp etoufee'.

And doing a little bit of spring cleaning -- early!

I've made no new year resolutions this year. Mainly because I know there is a lot of stuff I need to do -- or a lot of stuff I need to do better. So I really work on that every year anyway.
